The EKPM complete DC electric drive with a microprocessor control system is designed for smooth starting, speed regulation, torque control, and braking of mechanisms driven by direct current motors.
EKPM systems are used in various industrial sectors, including electric drives of mine hoisting machines, screw-type mechanisms (for example, drying units in rubber production), and others.
EKPM configurations are available with different parameters:
- By type of power converter configuration:
- with non-reversible armature converter and exciter;
- with reversible armature converter and non-reversible exciter;
- with non-reversible armature converter and reversible exciter. - By armature current: 100, 200, 320, 400, 500, 630, 800, 1000, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3200, 4000, 5000, 6300 and 8000 A.
- By power circuit configuration:
- 6-pulse bridge circuit;
- 12-pulse circuit. - By armature voltage: 220, 440, 600, 660, 1000 V.
- By motor speed control range:
- single-zone;
- dual-zone. - By number of electric motors:
- single-motor;
- dual-motor;
- multi-motor. - By additional power circuit equipment:
- with or without line contactor;
- with or without dynamic braking. - By connection method to the power supply network:
- transformer connection;
- reactor connection. - By excitation current: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 320, 400, 500 A.
- By excitation voltage: 110, 220, 440 V.
